Hyvä UI is included with a Hyvä Theme license only if you bought that license before November 10, 2025. Until that date, every paid theme license bundled the Hyvä UI component library. Hyvä then made the theme free and open source and began selling UI as its own product, as its announcement explains.

Hyvä UI is Hyvä’s library of ready-made storefront components for Hyvä Theme projects on Magento. Older articles that call Hyvä UI free with every theme license describe the terms from before that change.

How much does Hyvä UI cost, and what does the license cover?

Hyvä UI costs €250 per Magento store as a one-off purchase. Per Hyvä’s license agreement, one license covers a single Magento or Adobe Commerce installation with unlimited store views and domains. Staging and development environments are covered if they belong to the same business entity and end product. Product updates and Slack community support come with it.

Do you keep Hyvä UI if you bought Hyvä Theme earlier?

Yes. Hyvä states that existing theme licensees keep their premium support and Hyvä UI access. Its license terms also treat a theme license bought before November 10, 2025 as a Hyvä UI license.

Can you ship Hyvä UI inside a template you sell?

Not without a paid license. Hyvä lets you resell the theme inside your own template because the code is OSL and AFL licensed. The UI library is the exception, as Hyvä’s theme license page spells out.

Should you buy Hyvä UI on a new project?

A small store with a simple design can skip it. The free theme runs without it, and you can write the markup in Tailwind CSS yourself. An agency that builds similar storefronts again and again gets more from ready-made components, though each client store needs its own license.
