Crate and Barrel holdings are a member of the Otto group with over 7500 associates of Crate and Barrel. Have over 100 stores and franchise partners in 9 countries. They are an international destination for contemporary and modern furniture, housewares, and decor that help people welcome life.
Crate and Barrel have two sister brands, the First “CB2”, a modern and affordable home furnishings and accessories destination, and the second is “The Land of Nod”, a children’s home furnishings and accessories retailer. They ship to anywhere and any location in the world.
We’d known someone for a long time, they recommended that Crate & Barrel’s franchise by MAF is looking to design and develop their franchise website. That’s how Crate & Barrel got in touch with StageBit.


The Challenge & Solution
Our client has a huge variety of products. so, we suggested Magento 2 as a CMS platform. Also, Language barriers becomes a challenging part to tackle While working with teams separated by Sea, but with considerable efforts from both sides, it went great experience.
First, The client asked us to handle certain duties, such as fixing site issues, bugs, speed concerns, support & maintenance, and so on. After satisfying work from our side the client sent us a proposal for designing and developing their site. As they have a huge variety of products, we suggested Magento 2 as a CMS platform. For More discussion and to understand the project deeply, the client invited us to visit their store in UAE. Before starting the development process we understood each specific requirement. Later, we selected 2 highly experienced Magento 2 developers from our team and explained the project. We considered each aspect of business, including products & services, industry niche, targeted audience, and others. Then, we sketched a unique design and started working on the development part.
After a long way of conversation with the client and the team, we developed a fully customized, high-performance, and bug-free e-store on the Magento 2. We designed all components and elements to make the store aesthetically pleasing and attractive. And therefore, we built a functional yet simply elegant and completely customizable website that met all needs of the client. We also implemented omnichannel and multichannel marketing tools to let the client take proper advantage of their online store.


We went through in-depth testing on multiple parameters to ensure the website is working at its optimum level and delivers excellent experiences on all screens. Though it took much time for our developers to perform the testing of the entire website as it owns innumerable products and all.
Before making it live, we hand over the store to our Quality Assurance Tester-QA tester to make sure the website is absolutely working fine and doesn’t include any bugs or technical glitches.
We were in close contact with the client for around one year. While working with teams separated by Sea, Time Zone & Language barriers becomes a challenging part to tackle, but with considerable efforts from both sides, it became a great experience working with Crate & Barrel team.
We provided full website support & maintenance services after developing their store to make it stand out in the market. Finally, we did everything (i.e., design, develop and deliver) they wanted with 100% customer satisfaction in a quick turnaround time.
Functionality

Crate & Barrel’s website is built on Magento 2 with two different store views: UAE and Saudi Arabia. In contrast, Crate & Barrel includes 2 parts on their website: Crate & Barrel and Crate & Kids. Considering the brand’s global scope our client asked us to make a website similar to the existing Crate & Barrel website. And we did.
We used Invision App for better design functioning and great user experience, it allowed us to test and experiment with designing templates and ideas to obtain the best one.
We Implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for ERP and CRM which simplified our client’s marketing process for building leadership and clients lists, for creating campaigns targeted at specific prospects, for measuring results and executing follow-ups, and others.
Omnichannel & Multi-channel Functionality
With the on-demand of the client, we did complete omnichannel and multichannel on the website to let the client generate huge traffic from online retailers and increase sales and revenue with these retail functionality.
We helped the client build a modern retail supply chain by integrating and enabling omnichannel retail functionality. Allowing clients to offer the best web, mobile, or in-store experiences to the customers and get maximum profits and better returns from the investment.
With our retail solutions, the client is now able to perceive more availability, boost traffic & sales, and integrate digital touchpoints to offer more personalized shopping experiences in the digital world.
